In the age of reality shows and drama catching scope in the Indian Television Industry, a show based on innovation may soon be introduced on television. Dr. Sam Pitroda, who came up with the idea of innovation to be a base for a reality show, had spoken to film maker Shekhar Kapoor.

Dr. Pitroda recommended the idea of bringing together prospective innovators on one stage and make them fight for the best innovation. “The idea is to promote idea generation process among common man. If every thing goes well, Shekhar will come up with a reality show on innovation soon,” Dr. Pitroda said.

Pitroda said that the platform can provide opportunities to the engineers and scientists, who can come up with new ideas and ultimately secure themselves a job. Pitroda also argued that India does not have the urge to
innovate and that the Indian Universities and teachers are responsible for that.

However in a country where lots of drama and loudness attracts the audience, no one knows if the innovation show can draw much of the audience.

The singer with a golden voice, Asha Bhosle has opened her restaurant in Dubai. Not many are aware that Asha Tai, has a passion for cooking and loves to experiment with her culinary skills.

This is the third restaurant that the singer has opened in UAE and has already opened nine in India. Bhosle's son Anand Bhosle is the one managing the chain of restaurants. The new one is situated in The Mall and is named after the singer.

"My wish is that the people who come to the restaurant should feel they are sitting in their home and eating. I can make all sorts of food and my restaurants have the best of what I’ve learnt,” Bhosle said. The singer not being a businesswoman has immense interest to try variety of cuisines from around the world.

The singer has recorded more than 13,000 songs for devotional, folk, films and pop. Bhosle entered the business world some eight years back and has been till now successful with her son behind the management.

San Francisco (AP), Jan 14th 2011- The famous actor John Dye, who acted in promising roles such as Andrew, in the angel of death and television series "Touched by an Angel" is no longer with us.

The 47-year old actor was found dead in his home on Monday. He was a native of Amory.

Investigator Charles Cecil confirmed the death of the actor and cause of death yet to be determined.

Some of the Dye's relatives mentioned that the cause of death could be apparent heart failure.

WREG-TV in Memphis reported that Dye's father, Jim Dye, said his actor son "was very giving, had a lot of causes that he supported real well, Make a Wish Foundation, AIDS research".

Thursday afternoon Dye's death news began to spread and his Touched by an Angel" co-star Valerie Bertinelli posted a message to him on Twitter account as "Dear, sweet John Dye, rest in peace".

New York (AP), January 14th 2011- Martha Stewart will never dare to whisper into her dog's ear anytime again as this was resulted into stitches to her upper lip.

The 69-year old lifestyle guru mentioned on her own blog Thursday that she needed stitches after startling her dog Francesca while leaning down to "whisper goodbye'.

This whisper made her dog to jump up and rammed into Stewart. She wrote about this as "felt a bit whiplash as blood gushed" from her split lip on Tuesday night.

Stewart attended for these stitches at the Northern Westchester Hospital emergency room and received stitches to her upper lip.

In fact, she posted some of the photos related to this mishap on her blog too.

The most awaited and the second biggest release of the year, Yamala Pagla Deewana is set to hit the silver screens. After the movie 'Apne' the Deol family will be featuring again together.

The story of the film was basically the idea of Sunny Deol, which he had since long. Sunny then shared the story with Jasvinder Bath which he modified it to his own style. The film is a laugh riot and is a complete entertainment package.

The director and producer of the film Samir Karnik has named the film being inspired from the song 'Main Jatt Yamla Pagla Deewana' from the movie Pratigya in 1975. The film may not be that entertaining in the first half, but towards the end the movie gets hilarious.

Overall the movie can be watched at least once. With Sunny Deol, who has said to have performed well is the only character entertaining. One has to wait until the real fun begins at the end of the movie.

Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan has been sentenced to 90 days in  jail and rehab time for her recent parole violation.

“Lohan was sentenced to 90 days in jail for violating her probation. The 24-year-old actress missed several court-ordered alcohol education classes stemming from two separate 2007 cases of driving under the influence of cocaine and alcohol. Photo Gallery and video

Her fingernails showed anything but contrition.  They had the f-word on them.

Time News Feed said, “But two legal experts relayed to FoxNews that the fingernail message might fall in the realm of contempt of court. New York City Public Defender Stacy Schneider and Los Angeles Public Defender Greg Apt both saw a strong potential for the curse on her nail to add some days to Lohan’s sentence.”

David committed grievous offenses, worse than Lohan’s.   He committed adultery with Bathsheba, then murdered her husband Uriah to cover up her pregnancy.    When he faced judgment from Nathan the prophet, he didn’t drop any f-bombs, he didn’t make excuses.   He repented.

“She is to surrender and begin her jail sentence July 20. Rehab will follow,” reports Fox13Now.

Will there be additional contempt of court charges for her profanity?

After her surgery last week Katrina Kaif is well responding to treatment, she suddenly decided to flew to London join her family in London as per her earlier plans for Christmas and New Year vacation.

She flew to London on Wednesday after getting go ahead from her doctors at Breach Candy hospital.

Just before the departure she said "The pain will remain for a while. But the process of healing is on. I got my doctor's consent in Mumbai and I've another doctor in London who's fully aware of my condition. The doctors said the pain will be the same in Mumbai or London. And as long as I'm very careful about not exerting myself I'll be fine. So I'm off."
Katrina was very depressed earlier this week when she felt she wouldn't be able to rejoin her family in London because of her surgery.

Katrina Kaif said "I can't exert myself, can't dance around or be boisterous. But that's okay. Because our family is in any case not the dancing type. I just want to be with my sister's little boy take him to the toy stores in London and buy him everything he wants."

Katrina is planned her return journey in January first week, by that hopefully she will be completed healed. "Luckily I've a doctor in London who knows how to look after me. So basically I'm just moving into a happier state of mind by being close to the people I love. That would help me heal quicker….Wish me luck."

Caitlin Sanchez, who is the voice of lead of 'Dora the Explorer', an animated series aired on the Nickelodeon network is on the verge of taking a legal action on the channel due to some payment issues.

14 years old, Sanchez, who has been lending her voice since 2008 and continued till 2010 claims that the network has not paid her deserving dues that comes from the DVDs, reruns and other related stuff.

Character of Dora teaches children Spanish phrases in the series. As far as Nickelodeon is concerned, it said that the claims were baseless and there is no payment left unpaid.

The network said, “Unfortunately Caitlin’s voice changed and she was no longer able to portray the Dora character, as happened with the actress who originated the role. Caitlin’s contract was extensively negotiated through her agent and in compliance with her union.”

Before Sanchez, Kathleen Herles was the voice of Dora, in the very popular series worldwide among the kids.
