Metro scene in ‘Kahaani’ removed from promos

The makers of the upcoming movie 'Kahaani' starring Vidya Balan, have been asked to remove a scene in which the lead character is shown as being pushed close to a speeding train. The Kolkata Metro has raised concerns due to the number of suicides reported in the past.

Pratyush Ghosh the Kolkata Metro spokesperson said that after watching the promos, the scene was found to be very objectionable. Ghosh added that the Metro has been plagued by suicides and till date 224 cases of suicides have been registered, of which 124 have resulted in death.

The spokesperson also said that the scene has been removed from the promos after their objection. Director Sujoy Ghosh has been asked to submit a video of the entire scene. The spokesperson said that the director has agreed to do it and will soon be submitting the scene in question.

After watching the scene closely, it will be decided if it will be retained in the movie or not. Pratyush also shared that their only concern is how much the scene can damage the image of the Metro. Vidya in the movie plays the character of an NRI woman who arrives in the city in search of her husband.

Model Poonam Pandey has these days received criticisms from the show biz, which did not go down well with her. The Kingfisher Calendar model was recently criticised by author Taslima Nasreen and Bollywood actress Chitrangada Singh.

A few days back Singh wrote on Twitter, "How do you compete with Poonam Pandey, when she is ready to strip for kabbadi matches? (sic)." This certainly irked the model who lashed back and wrote, "Jealousy: That’s what makes a bitch talk.".

Poonam has been in the news for her raunchy and sexy acts on the internet and is popular among her fans. The model has posted numerous sexy pictures of her on Twitter as well as her website, which she claims motivates the Indian cricket team to perform on the field.

Poonam then also mentioned on Twitter that she felt great when people used her name for publicity and also reminded her of a dialogue from the movie 'Guru' that states that when people start talking about you then it is a sign that you are progressing.

Chitrangada Singh to star in movie based on sexual harassment

Bollywood actress Chitrangada Singh is now all set to star in another movie with an interesting subject. The actress has teamed up with director Sudhir Mishra for the upcoming film 'Inkaar'.

Singh said that she is looking forward to the film and stars Arjun Rampal in the lead role. The actress in the movie will be seen playing the role of a woman in the corporate world who suffers from sexual harassment at the work place.

Singh while talking about the movie said that it is a great script and will be releasing in May 2012. The actress added that the film is actually a love story stuck in a sexual harassment case.

Apart from the movie the actress is also bit anxious about the item song 'Kaafirana' which has already built the curiosity of the audience. Chitrangada said that t is great to have the excitement build around and that she is confident about Farah Khan's choreography.Singh is known for playing some intense roles in the movie 'Hazaron KhwaisheinAisi' but made her first commercial debut with the movie 'Desi Boyz' opposite John Abraham and Akshay Kumar.
